The legalization of cannabis in 2018 was groundbreaking for CityNews. Being among the pioneering television stations covering all aspects of cannabis, I took charge of the art direction and logo design for The Marijuana Files. This included comprehensive on-air and broadcast segment branding, enabling CityNews to delve deeply into all facets of marijuana legalization through a special limited series. We explored various designs, aiming to merge Canadian identity with the cannabis symbol. This segment was subsequently launched nationwide across all platforms.
